Making a Difference

Hannah has over 20 years experience in Community and Youth Work. She started as a Community Artist and went on to gain an MA in Community & Youth Work from Durham University. Her special interests lie in Healthy Relationships and the role of Sex-Education in Youth Work. She has managed Alnwick Community Centre's Community provision for the last 15 years and in the last 8 years she has also acted as the Project Manager of Community@NE66. Hannah is also a Safeguarding Governor at Barndale House School & Residential. When not at work Hannah enjoys swimming and cooking.

Jacqueline graduated and worked in London as a Brand and Senior Product Manager for a wide range of international corporations. Since 2002 she has been a freelance business and marketing professional. Jacqueline joined Community @NE66 in 2018 and oversees project development, finance and all of the Trust's administration. In her spare time Jacqueline enjoys travelling, gardening, reading and hill walking.

Izzy has been attending the community centre since 2020 as a young person and then volunteered to help in our Play, Tots and Holiday Activity Sessions. From 2023 Izzy became employed as a Sessional Young Leader whilst studying at College. and in January 2026 she advanced her career at the Trust successfully securing the role of Assistant Youth Worker.

Elle has been attending the community centre from 4 yrs old. Since turning 13 Elle has volunteered with us in our Play and Tots sessions. Elle is now employed as a Sessional Young Leader at the centre during the School Holidays and is currently in her second year at college studying Health and Social Care. In her leisure time Elle enjoys meeting up with her friends, helping at the community centre and going on holiday.

Paige first attended the community centre when she was just 5 years old. She has contributed considerably as a young volunteer since she was 12 years old in our Play, Tots and Holiday Activity Sessions. Paige is now studying for a qualification in Child Care and during term time holidays is employed by the Trust as a Sessional Young Leader.
Lalage has spent all her working life in education. She taught for 10 years in a variety of different Primary settings and then set up and ran Rock Hall school for 3 to 13 year olds in 1984. The school centred on a holistic view of the child engaging in a lot of Creative Arts and outdoor education. The school closed in 2013. She then beca
Lalage has spent all her working life in education. She taught for 10 years in a variety of different Primary settings and then set up and ran Rock Hall school for 3 to 13 year olds in 1984. The school centred on a holistic view of the child engaging in a lot of Creative Arts and outdoor education. The school closed in 2013. She then became Chair of the governing Body at the Duchess’s Community High School and helped to oversee great changes as the school moved into new buildings, moved to two tier education and doubled in size. She continues to hold the position of chair as well as chairing the NE66 Charitable trust. Lalage enjoys gardening, reading, opera and coping with six grandchildren.

Carol graduated in mathematics at Leeds and then taught maths in secondary schools before acquiring an MSc in Science and a PhD in Statistics. When not working she is a bereavement volunteer for Hospice Northumberland and she helps at the Mighty Oaks Coffee Van in Alnwick. Carol enjoys reading, sudoku, hill and coastal walks in Northumberland.

Judith has a strong interest in the community having spent 10 years as a police officer with Northumbria Police, before moving to Northumberland County Council as a Community Safety Officer in the Alnwick area. She now runs the GP referral scheme in Alnwick, helping people with health conditions to exercise safely. Judith's hobbies include fitness, music and travel.

Chris has lived in Alnwick almost all his life having previously worked as a Funeral Director and Community Worker. In September 2019 he became the Co-Minister (along with his wife Caroline) at Alnwick Baptist Church. During his spare time, he enjoys jogging with Alnwick Harriers and watching live sport. Occasionally he gets to see Ipswich Town play football.

Beth grew up in Amble and moved to Alnwick in 2017. She has a background in Primary School Teaching and Leadership and now works as a Director at a Social Mobility Charity. She has a strong interest in creating opportunities for young people from the North East and helping them to reach their true potential. Beth also founded and runs the

When not working, she enjoys swimming, running and walking her Spaniel.

Martin has lived and worked in the Alnwick Area for over 25 years and runs his own renewable energy installation business. He has been an Alnwick Town Councillor for over 8 years and a Northumberland County Councillor (representing Alnwick) since May 2021.

In his spare time he enjoys cycling, dinghy sailing and walking in the North Northumberland countryside, hills, and coast.

Neil Rose is an experienced Support Worker at a Residential Care home and is also our Caretaker at Community @NE66 . He plays a vital role in keeping the Community Centre clean and operational.
