Community@NE66 Charitable Trust, are delighted to announce they have been successful in securing grant funding of £90,897 from BBC Children in Need.
As a Trust we have been working within the Alnwick community for two years with the support of small, local grant funding and generous donations of materials from local businesses. In particular the Trust would like to thank MKM, Lidl, Aldi, Co-Op Funeral Care (Alnwick & Amble), Greggs, Homebase, Northumberland Youth Service, Alnwick Baptist Church, St Michael's Church and St James's URC.
Since the Trust’s inception, generous investment awards from The Community Foundation Northumberland proved pivotal in enabling the Trust to attract additional funding from Children in Need.
In 2018, the Trust’s Community & Youth Workers engaged with 1,500 people across its 18 projects including youth clinics, community counselling and school holiday activities. None of this would have been possible without the determination and hard work of Hannah Moeni and her team who run the Community Centre with dedication and enthusiasm.
Hannah Moeini says, “This much needed Children in Need funding will enable us to sustain and build our organisation for another 3 years which is really exciting. Working with young people we can promote resilience, confidence, life-skills and positive well-being that benefits everyone within our community. We are delighted at the prospect of further developing our work. On behalf of the Trustees and my team, I would like to thank the BBC and everyone who donated to Pudsey.”
